Vegan Cheesesteaks

These are simple / delicious! Pair with your favorite vegan cheese (pre-packaged or home made cashew based like this!

Ingredients: 

  • 4 cups mushrooms of choice
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 2 tsp garlic or clove of fresh minced.
  • 1 tbsp liquid aminos or soy or vegan worcestire
  • 3 dashes of liquid smoke
  • 1-2 tbsp vegan butter or oil (use veg brother for oil free)
  • Salt/pepper to taste
  • Buns + vegan cheese of choice!

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot on medium heat add diced mushrooms/onion + oil/butter or veg broth + salt, pepper. 
  2. Mix well and saute until they are just about cooked.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and continue to sauce for a few minutes.
  4. Melt cheese on top or add in and mix. 
  5. Serve on toasted buns!
